The Sport Sedan is equipped with a standard 2.4-liter, I4, 171-horsepower engine that achieves 22-mpg in the city and 32-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims, and a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is optional. The 2008 Cobalt is a carryover from 2007.

The 2008 Chevy Aveo5 is a 4-door, 5-passenger wagon, available in two trims, the SVM and the LS. Upon introduction, both trims are equipped with a standard 1.6-liter, I4, 103-horsepower engine. A 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard, and a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is optional. The 2008 Aveo5 is a carryover from 2007.

The 2008 Chevy Avalanche is a 4-door, up to 6-passenger full size pickup, available in 10 trims, ranging from the LS 2WD to the LTZ 4WD. Upon introduction, the LS 2WD is equipped with a standard 5.3-liter, V8, 320-horsepower engine that achieves 15-mpg in the city and 21-mpg on the highway. The LTZ 4WD is equipped with a standard 5.3-liter, V8, 310-horsepower, flexible fuel engine that achieves 11-mpg in the city and 15-mpg on the highway. A 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims. The 2008 Avalanche is a carryover from 2007.
